Partner Brokering event aims to stimulate innovation in health promoting foods

RRS has linked up with the Scottish Innovation Relay Centre to facilitate a partner brokering event for companies and research organisations with interests in functional foods.

The event which will be held in Aberdeen on 22 June 2006 will provide an opportunity for food manufacturers, ingredient suppliers and research organisations with interest in the function food sector to meet with each other to access new ingredients and technologies, to promote their expertise and services to prospective clients and collaborators. The event is expected to attract a wide range of companies from across Europe and participants will be carefully profiled to ensure maximum value from their partner meetings. More details and registration details can be found on http://functionalfoods.ircnet.lu can be found

The event has been timetabled to coincide with an international symposium on Gut Microbiology, Improved health, immune response and nutrition being jointly organised by the Rowett Institute and INRA Clermond Ferrand ( www.rowett.ac.uk/RRI-INRA2006) which runs from 21 June to 23 June 2006 and which will see more than 200 experts in the area attending. A special reduced fee has been negotiated for attendees to the broker event to wish to participate in all or part of the conference.

Immediately following the partner brokering day participants will have the opportunity to join a  mission that will attend the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh where there will be further opportunities to meet with Scottish companies from the health enhancing food sector.  Places will be limited and those interested should contact Helen Glass at the IRC ( hglass@targetinginnovation.com)
