Rowett Institute: Disclaimer on Outgoing Electronic Mail

It is sometimes appropriate to include a "disclaimer" on electronic mail messages.
The following message is RECOMMENDED (text version here):
The contents of this email are the views of the sender and do not
necessarily represent the views of the University of Aberdeen. This
email is confidential. It should not be read, copied, disclosed or
used by any other person other than the intended recipient.
Unauthorised use, disclosure or copying by whatever medium is strictly
prohibited and may be unlawful. If you receive this email in error
please contact the sender immediately and delete the email from your
system.
Email messages which are business
letters rarely need a disclaimer but particular information must be
included by law.
