The environmental impact of transport
When looking at food miles is not enough just to think about how far our food has travelled but also think about how it was transported.
Food can be flown from Africa into Scotland or could be taken by ship. When food gets to Scotland how it is transported to your local supermarket? All of these questions are important as different forms of transport have different effect on the environment.
