Save Energy Save Money!

light_bulb_poundEnergy in the form of electricity is needed to make appliance like lights, televisions and computers work. Electricity can be made by burning fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas. When fossil fuels are burned they produce carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is one of the greenhouse gasses. To help the environment we must reduce the amount of carbon dioxide produced.

If we decrease the amount of energy that we use we can make a real difference in the amount of carbon dioxide we produce and reduce our carbon footprint. Little changes can make a real difference to the environment.
